Week 15

Baby During Week 15 of Pregnancy: Baby Kicking and Curling (From Whattoexpect.com)Fetal body movements continue to get practice this week, too. But because your baby weighs so little (a bit over two ounces), you won't feel the calisthenics going on inside your abdominal gym. But don't let that fool you. Your fetus is holding daily aerobics classes — kicking, curling toes, and moving those little arms and legs. By now, the ears are positioned properly on the sides of the head (they used to be in the neck) and the eyes are moving from the side of the head to the front of the face — where they'll soon meet your loving gaze. – Does anyone else find it weird that the ears and eyes move while the baby is growing? Kinda creeps me out! Me During Week 15 I felt really good this week. I am still tired, but no other symptoms really. The nausea is basically gone. My appetite is back. We went back to the doctor yesterday. The results of the blood work were good, and she said that my weight gain was right on track. I heard the heartbeat again and the doctor said it was strong. We scheduled our “big” ultrasound for a month from now. I can’t wait to find out what we are having. Ryan is convinced that it’s a boy, but I’m still holding out for girl! The ultrasound will be at St. Luke’s so that will give us a chance to check out the hospital to see if that is where we want to go for the delivery. CrossFit During Week 15 Tuesday – 12 Days of Christmas WOD – not very merry

I subbed wall balls (8lbs) for the sit-ups, used a green band for the ring dips and pull-ups, and used the 33lb bar. I honestly didn’t know half way through if I would be able to finish or not, but I did it in 43:02. I think that is probably the longest WOD I’ve ever done, and I felt it for the rest of the week. Thursday - 5 Rounds for Time15 Strict TTB (NO kipping)15 KettleBell Swings (53/35) I subbed ring rows for the TTB and used the 20 lbs kettlebell. After Tuesday’s WOD, this didn’t seem so bad. I might have felt differently if I’ve done the strict TTB though!

Week 14

Baby during week 14

Size: Navel Orange (about 4 ½ inches) Developments: roof of the mouth is forming, intestines are also becoming active.

Me during week 14

This week I am supposed to have less morning sickness and more energy. So far neither of these is true, but I hope things get better soon. I’m looking forward to having more energy so that I can actually get some stuff done. Sleeping is becoming more and more uncomfortable. I just can’t seem to get into a position where I can sleep without a limb falling asleep. I still get up in the middle of the night to pee and that also disrupts my sleep. I guess that is something I should get used to!

Working out during week 14

This week started out pretty rough. I think I caught a bug or something b/c I couldn’t hold anything down Sunday or Monday, but then I felt ok the rest of the week. I was worried that the morning sickness was getting worse when it’s supposed to get better in the second trimester. Since I was sick, I only made it to the gym on Thursday night. The WOD was: 10 Push Presses 20 Hang Squat Cleans 40 Dead lifts 20 Hang Squat Cleans 10 Push Presses 50 Push-Ups I used the 33lb bar for the PP and dead lifts and 15lb dumbbells for the squat cleans. I did my push-ups on a bar. I swore I was going to write down my time so I didn’t forget it, but I forgot!
